Great location, well equipped, clean, welcome pack on arrival.

Slight noise audible from neighbours at times. Was hoping that the single bed in the living room would have been more comfortable than it was, although it didn’t spoil any nights sleep.

Very big and comfortable apartment. Fully equipped kitchen, and great shower. Lift to 6th floor. Nice linens, and check-in with Luis was very friendly and simple. Close to train and bus station and 2 supermarkets. Short walk to the centre. Would definitely stay again.

The apartment is located a few minutes from the river. Luis, the host, was very helpful. He sent us a WhatsApp with restaurants, bakeries, things to do. All the recommendations we tried were great.

We have everything we need even some snacks, water, seasonings & few garlics. Good location as train & bus station just less than few mins walk & supermarket is just opposite. Walking distance to every attractions we went. Luis is very helpful & gave us lots of suggestions & useful information. laundromat is round the corner!

Can hear minor noise from the train & neighbors but not a big problem.

Luis and the apartment completely lived up to all the other glowing reviews. We stayed here for 6 nights, arriving in the middle of Aveiro's annual Tech Week. Aveiro is a small(ish) city with big ambitions, both for technology/innovation and for civic life and the arts. It is *wonderful* to explore, especially if you love both nature and culture and aren't the biggest fan of big cities. The location is outstanding: around the corner from the combined train+bus station for our arrival from Lisbon/departure to Tavira, with 3 grocery stores in easy walking distance (don't miss Mercadona, the most well-stocked of the 3, a little further away), and a short walk down to the Ria for the canals and the city center, and on down to the salinas (salt pans). We wished we had planned more time for Aveiro! Sailorman House would make a splendid home base for exploring the whole region, and for getting out into the lagoon on the incredible boardwalk network. You don't need a car, with train and bus service so convenient, although you might want a Bolt driver to make some destinations easier. The apartment itself is comfortable, well equipped, and easy to be in. Although you're looking out right over the train tracks, the noise is not bad (they don't blare the horns the way American trains do), especially with the double windows closed. In the humid climate, if you packed light you will probably want to take advantage of the lavandaria (laundromat) in the ground-floor business level of the building, for 2 euros per 17 min. in the dryer. We enjoyed cooking on a night in, and had memorable meals out--particularly at "O Infante" a few blocks away. Luis has the best recommendations, and is a kind and generous host. Enjoy Aveiro and Portugal at Sailorman House!

Small things to note (not criticisms): no bidet; no balcony for putting out the drying rack for laundry (you set it up in a for-purpose end of the kitchen under the window, which you can open for the breeze if weather allows). We never asked Luis for a 2nd pair of keys or a 2nd set of bath towels. The two efficient elevators are small, so if you are coming in a group or have more luggage you may need to make a couple trips when you first arrive/depart. The flooring has "bubbled" in a couple places; there's a spot in the bedroom that will crackle loudly if you're up late/early. :)

Everything! Large and comfy apartment in an excellent location. The apartment has everything you need for either a short or long stay.. It is also close to shopping and train station. Luis is a very kind and knowledgeable host.

The train station was occasionally noisy but didn't bother us.
