Miragaia Star Apartments

Ricardo è stato gentilissimo, un padrone di casa gentile, disponibile e sorridente! Siamo arrivati di sera e ci ha aspettati davanti la porta di ingresso, aiutandoci con i bagagli. L'appartamento in pieno centro, nuovo, confortevole, dotato di tutti gli equipaggiamenti, inclusa lavatrice e asciugatrice. E poi.. un kit di benvenuto fantastico, con dolcetti, frutta e tante altre cose apprezzatissime!

The property manager was very accommodating to our needs and available for us whenever we needed him. The location was perfect and the apartment was super clean. Tonnes of space for a couple. It is at the top of a steep hill, so make sure you are fit enough to navigate it.

The apartment was great equipped with everything what you can need. Fully equipped kitchen even oil,salt,peper for basic cooking. We welcomed washing maschine as well. It was lovely,that the owner prepare for us local products. It’s not possible to leave your car on the street(special authorization for inhabitants) but cca 300 m from the apartment you car park free. We couldn’t choose better accomodation. We strongly recommend!

Perfectly maintained apartment with well equipped kitchen, great for longer stays. Greeted by a fabulous host who has thought of everything. The welcome treats and the tip on finding a free parking lot were greatly appreciated.

The location is excellent near the central square. The apartment is well-equipped with kitchen utensils, dish washer and laundry machine and a dryer. Wifi works very well. Ricardo the host was very friendly and had stocked the kitchen with plenty of local produce.

The windows are modern and insulate well but there inevitably is some noise due to cobblestone streets in the old town.

Fully updated 1 BR apartment a short walk from the Sé, Duke of Terceira Park, harbor and Monte Brasil. Owner/host lives upstairs in the same building and could not have been more gracious, meeting us on arrival and welcoming us with a gift basket of local bread, fruit, tarts and milk. Communication via text/WhatsApp was excellent. Appliances are all new and high quality, bed is comfortable, and there is plenty of closet space. The apartment is bright and well lit, with blackout shades in the bedroom. Although the apartment is on the first floor and close to the street, it was absolutely soundproof when the windows were closed (and there is AC so we were always comfortable). The apartment is excellent value for the price, and we would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

All of the following are small niggles: We would have appreciated a few more serving and cooking utensils - there was no can opener, no measuring cups or spoons, no serving spoons, and only two knives, neither of which was very substantial. Dishes, glasses and silverware were sufficient, but a few storage containers and/or ziplock bags for leftovers would have been useful. Salt, pepper, oil and vinegar were provided, but no sugar. The only coffee preparation option was pods, which produced weak, lukewarm coffee. The washer and dryer are in a closet, and the dryer vents into the room, not outside, so if the dryer is used either the closet will overheat, or the door will need to be left open in which case there is noise and heat coming into the apartment (granted, having a clothes dryer at all in Portugal is unusual). Shower is tiny and it's easy to knock the water control when moving around, so that you have either instant scalding or freezing cold water, but this is also standard in Portugal. Parking is only on the steep street, and is either metered or resident-only, although there are some free parking options a few blocks away.

The location and apartment were excellent. Kind host.
