Spacious, well equiped and comfortable apartment. Garage was a great addition and also pool access. Balcony is great for breakfast and chill-out. Kitchen is fully equiped and you have more than you need.

There’s no sweet way to say it : extremely noisy. The street on which the apartment is situated is one of the main arteries for commuters coming downtown Funchal. From 6am till 8:30, it’s like a f1 track. Bring earplugs. Weekends are better, but weekdays are intense.

It was very close to city center. Good location.

One form i filled in said check-in was 4-6pm, one said 24hr but for an additional fee after 10pm. One the online forms there was no option to put a check-in for 7pm, which was our arrival plan. I had to message to see if we could check in at 7pm. Long response times to my messages and sometimes no responses at times. Only on the day of check in did someone message to say they would meet us with the keys and what time. We agreed 7pm. We arrived at the property just before 7pm. The host said they were delayed by 45minutes but it was actually 8pm when they arrived. The host took us to the wrong apartment to start with. The host then couldn’t open the door of the apartment, she got the key stuck in the lock. When leaving and locking us in she took 20 minutes to get the key out of the door. N.b the key needs turning multiple times as it has a dead lock but she clearly couldn’t work this out.

Lots of space, full facilities, great little pool, friendly and helpful hosts, great AC, excellent wifi 👍

The kitchen is very good equipped (if the oven plates where available), eg ice cooling elements, toothpicks, big fridge and refrigerator, lots of pots. The space of the apartment and terrace. The pool and garage are a surplus. The distance to the city center (easy on foot), bus stops and highway. Very clean.

The traffic noise of Rua do Comboio is terrible, so the only way to sleep is with everything closed (so to warm and lack of oxygen). Bad matrass. The price towards the traffic noise. The sofa bed is not suitable for sleeping (thin mousse) and not comfortable to sit in (the seat cushions slip away). Asking more toilet paper shouldn't be an issue. In the evening there was bad internet connection.
