Casa do Chico

We loved this apartment: flawlessly clean, generous in all ways (particularly the huge terrace and lovely big bath), excellent location and fabulous spot for a wee holiday right by the ferry port with plenty options for lovely day trips. We hope to return asap!

Location on the waterfront in the centre of town. Lots of outdoor space and place to sit. Bright space. Good warm AC (we were there when it was cold). Easy check in. Free, large off-season car park 200 m to the east.

A slightly uncomfortable design. Getting in and out of the bed platform is a bit awkward, and particularly worth knowing if you have restricted joint mobility. It all looks beautiful but the indoor wire and wood chairs with the table are uncomfortable to sit and eat at.

Initial thoughts were wow! thoughtfully designed, light and modern with nice touches, comfortable bed, large fluffy towels, quality toiletries, lots of hot water and a powerful shower. There was a good supply of toilet paper, washing up liquid etc, plenty crockery and glasses, fabulous to have washing machine, Location is ideal, supermarket very close, an easy walk to train station , bus and water ferry across the road.

I wanted to love it, but Regrettably after a day or two the smell from the neighbouring restaurant extractor fan made the huge terrace unusable for me. it didn’t bother my husband, so depending on your tolerance to smells it may not be an issue. Having said that I’m unsure how the host could remedy this given the nature of the property. Other than a hanging rail there is no storage for clothes for a stay of more than a few days. A little maintenance is required to keep the property up to standard but perhaps this was because it was the end of the season. the stairs inside to the apartment look stunning but as others have mentioned are very steep and uneven, extreme care is required and definitely not suitable for those with limited mobility.

Con vistas al mar desde la terraza. La ubicación genial ya que está en el paseo pero no se oye nada pues la terraza es muy larga y el apartamento queda más atrás. Muy acogedor y recomendable. Si regreso alguna vez me volvería a instalar aquí, sin ninguna duda.

Para buscar una pequeña pega existe una chimenea de un restaurante muy cerca que desprende los típicos olores de la comida y el humo llega a la terraza. Ya he visto que ha habido algún otro comentario en este sentido.

Bright, quirky modernised studio apartment in a very central location w modern almost new conveniences and facilities. It opens out onto roof terrace w dining and sun-bathing space.

If you are sharing, note the toilet is less than wholly private. The stairs from street need to be carefully navigated at all times.

A localização é muito central e próxima do cais para apanhar os barcos para as ilhas. A casa é bonita e tem um terraço enorme com uma óptima vista

Tem falta de arrumação na cozinha e zona quarto. Dormimos bastante mal pois as janelas laterais têm frestas enormes e deixam entrar muita luz. Além disso, a rua por onde se entra apesar de mais recatada em relação à rua principal, é bastante barulhenta devido aos empregados do restaurante cuja a cozinha aí se localiza

Apartment was just as pictured, couldn’t fault anything. Staircase a little steep for getting luggage up & down, but wouldn’t put us off returning. Location for supermarket, bars, restaurants & ferry’s was fab!
