Unfortunately this type of stay is losing the race with hotels in Lisbon, there is only so much that can be done with maintenance and a coat of paint. I don't blame the agency, they do what they can but buildings are too shoddy, there's no insulation or soundproofing whatsoever, and photos of the place can't show you that the toilet door hinge makes a gun shot sound that could wake the dead every time you close it, or that there's construction works in the appt right below you, or that the wooden floors are so crooked that the entire room is slanted...

The location of the apartment is great: close to nice restaurants and cafés, views and parks. The apartment was very clean and spacious, with an interesting layout.

It’s mentioned in the booking, but you have to pick up the keys for the apartment from a welcome center, which is located 15 minutes walking from the apartment itself. It’s not convenient if you have luggage, so I recommend you to take an Uber. The apartment is very old and it definitely looks better and brighter on the pictures than in real life. You also hear everything from the neighbours upstairs (walking, talking, singing), and from the people walking up and down the stairs in the hallway. The front door and the door of the apartment are very old, so I personally didn’t feel very safe there. Check out is at 11:00, which is a bit early. Shower is tiny and the shower head was broken.
