Romantic Apartment El Corte Ingles 2

There was a horrible smell in the whole apartment. Upon reporting it to the owner, we were told "to just open the windows", that the smell is normal, since the building is old. Worst was the mold on the walls in the living room. There was no indication of mold in the pictures of the listing. I assume that the pictures were done before it was there. Huge black and yellow stains in the walls with parts of the paint coming off. Then there was an issue with the bed in the main bedroom next to the living room. The layer under the mattress was completely rotten which made the mattress sink almost to the floor. It was not possible to use the bed. We have reported all issues to the owner immediately and asked for solutions or a refund. Instead, we were called liars, and overall attitude of the owner became very hostile and unpleasant. We contacted Booking.com and got a full refund. Needless to say that we didn't stay at that place any longer. I've never had such horrible experience, where I was fearing for my health and safety. On top of that, communication with the owner after we reported the issues became very unpleasant, which left very bad impression. I would not recommend this place. Moreover, I don't think such place should be offered at all. The photos are very misleading.

The location was great, there were shops very closed by & the place was good for the price … the living room was spacious and the bed were comfortable. the host was very helpful when it came to sorting problems out for us , friendly man.

the showers were small and the drains would smell occasionally, when we would shower which was very uncomfortable. the kitchen wasn’t the most spacious to make meals and the fridges was small with mould inside. the home is located on the top floor so it’s not suitcase or wheelchair friendly.

The place had a great feel about with something different. Very heteroclite bits and pieces which makes it interesting. Close carpark nearby which is handy.
