Bem Lembrados Apartment

This is a beautifully decorated basement apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood. It had almost everything we needed as a traveling family of 5 with kids. The kitchen was well stocked and we definitely used that clothes washing machine! The patio is super peaceful, the beds were clean and comfortable and the shower was great. The location is a 10 minute walk to the restaurant/beach area in Cascais. Teresa was very courteous, responsive and helpful host. We had a hiccup with not being able to have hot water (possibly "user error") and she called me right away and sent her husband to check. In the end that hiccup was resolved. They also brought a fan when we mentioned we were hot at night due to the lack of AC.

I recommend adding air conditioning and screens to keep out mosquitos. Once this place has those 2 things, it will be a 10 out of 10.

lovely apartment, clean and practical.

there was construction work going on right next door. nothing to do with the hosts, but it was noisy during the day unfortunately with a small child.

second bathroom is very small

Close to town, comfortable and spacious, with pretty furnishings and good water pressure in the showers. It was nice that my daughter could have her own room. The owners were very helpful and gave us great restaurant recommendations. (Hifen is now one of my favorite restaurants EVER!)

I didn't realize this was a basement apartment.

Great location, only a few blocks from the water and the marina, only a few blocks from central Cascais, bus terminal, markets, and only a couple of kilometers from Estoril. Wonderful clean, architecturally designed 2 bdrm, 2 bath apartment. Everything in the kitchen worked - including a washer/dryer. (We didn't use the dryer.) This is a quiet, basement-level space, with plenty of natural light, even in November. Excellent natural bakery one block away.

My friend liked this the best of all the places we stayed. I thought a few things could have been improved, like door latches, and loose plumbing fixtures. We got lucky, and had permission to park in the space next to the house, off-street. Otherwise, there is metered parking on the street, or some free parking, which was totally occupied during out stay.
