Apartment Yellow Bica

Communication with the host was perfect we were text the code to collect keys at lock box outside the property. The property is right in the heart of Lisbon, situated on one of the most popular Instagram walking distance to many sites, restaurants and shops. There was a supermarket and pastry shop & cafe just off the top of the street. The property itself was great, anything you need to prepare food and comfortable beds.

If I was to say anything negative it would be that it was a bit noisy on Saturday night, the bar a few doors down had live music playing quite late. But other nights it was peaceful enough considering we were in the heart of the city.

We liked the location, beds were comfortable.

We were happy but if you want a quiet evening/ night this area is quite lively.

The apartment is cozy, sufficiently spacious, walking distance from a lot of landmarks. Tony was a great help offering tips about the city and also helped us with luggage on the last day. The pizza across the street is very good, so is the fish restaurant Sea Me in the street above.

There is no central heating so the apartment is a bit cold in winter days (especially if you are used to a warmer house). They provide an electric heater but it does not do much. I saw people complained about the noise in other reviews, but for us it was no issue. The same with the narrow steep stairs, but they could be an issue for some people.

Location, clean, comfortable and specious.

Difficult to find. The car that we booked in connection with the apartment booking dropped us very far away from the apartment and had to climb a long way up to it. Car should drop us above or next to the apartment. The manager did not answer on our massage consigning the electricity issue in the apartment.

The apartment was in a great location, a 5 min walk from two main streets, the train station, restaurants, cafes, and the time out food market. The apartment had great amenities and was very clean, also easy to access and very secure with the key safe and keypad entry. The owners were very helpful and sent us lots of recommendations. This is a great option for small groups, families or couples wanting to be near the centre. The Elevador Bica is on this street so there are plenty of people around as well as small shops, restaurant, bars around. There is lots of storage space to hang clothes and store suitcases.

The street noise can be loud depending on what day/occasion it is - I imagine with the windows open in summer this would also be loud, although fans are provided in the apartment and the windows are good at shutting out noise. This would also be difficult to access for those wigh requirements due to the steep hill and stairs. Taxis struggle to access the property due to the tram on the street so you may need to do some walking up/downhill with cases. The apartment itself was very good, shower hot and powerful but needed a new wall hook and the sink a new plug. These are easily fixed however and would not stop me booking again

Wow, what a wonderful apartment. The location was brilliant and was so warm and inviting with lovely decor. The beds were so comfortable and the shower was lovely and powerful. The kitchen was very compact and clean. There were some small bars on the street which were great. There was a bit of noise which was to be expected with the location but it didn’t affect our sleep. I’d suggest taking earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. We’d 100% stay here again. Nuno was very friendly and responded to messages straight away. He booked a taxi for us when leaving for the airport. Tony who welcomed us into the apartment was so friendly and helpful giving us lots of advice.

Nothing that would stop us booking again but maybe suggest a comfy chair as well as the settee. Also maybe putting a door on the single bedroom instead of a curtain as we couldn’t watch tv or have a light on in the lounge after our daughter went to bed.

Apartment is easy to find, location is great, hosts were friendly. You can look at the tram on Rua da Bica from the balcony, which is an exciting feature, as it suggests a scenic view or a unique aspect of the apartment that can enhance the overall stay.

1. Check-in Experience: We arrived at the apartment four hours before the designated check-in time, and the initial impression was positive as we were informed we could temporarily store our baggage. However, our enthusiasm was dampened upon arrival when we learned that there was an unexpected fee for each suitcase, and we had four of them. This was somewhat disappointing, as it would have been helpful to know about these charges beforehand to avoid any surprises. 2. Noise Levels: Despite not typically having trouble falling asleep, our nightly experience was bad by the excessive noise from the street. The constant disruptions made it difficult to enjoy a peaceful night's rest. 3. Stairs and Narrow Hallways: The property had some challenges with narrow hallways and stairs. However, we must commend Tony, who graciously assisted us in transporting our suitcases upstairs upon our request. His help was greatly appreciated.

Amazing little apartment in the most wonderful location. My son loved to watch the trams go up and down the street. Clean and comfortable with excellent communication from staff.
