FLH Funchal Green Park Apartment with Pool

The apartment was in a block of flats, most of which appeared to be privately owned, so it was an experience similar to that of an air BnB. Gives you independence. The communal pool was nice. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It’s quite well located, close enough to the city to walk if you enjoy walking, however you can get a taxi/bolt for very minimal cost, and there are also buses from the top of the road. The communication from FLH was excellent and helpful. The apartment itself was incredibly spacious and had a lot of facilities to offer such as a washing machine and oven, and it really is like a home. The area, whilst not being “central”, has numerous cafes, restaurants and shops nearby.

Spacious, sunny, great beds and couch. Swimming pool was empty almost all the time. The hosts were very kind, fast responses, helped with everything we needed. They even helped me find my lost phone! Great thanks to my man Adéritó and Mariana!

Large, well laid out, spacious 2 bed & 2 bathroom property with balconies front & rear giving good views over a park, the sea & Funchal in the distance. Great location with lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and local transport all within 5 minutes walk. Clean and tidy throughout, very responsive, helpful property manger who resolved our one small issue within a couple of hours.

The mattresses on one of the beds was probably too hard for most people.

The only disappointment was that there was no extra toilet paper. We were 2 couples with only 2 half used toilet paper each. For a 4 nights reservation I believe that's not enough. After contacting Joao he informed us that this is the policy of the apartment, tho at least the apartment should have new toilet papers and not a half used ones. Also no towels or kitchen paper in the kitchen at all!

Apartment overall was perfect, nice verandas to enjoy beautiful weather and views. Easy walk to restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. Walking distance to shopping mall and taxi stand. Quiet building.

Lack of an umbrella on the veranda to block the sun, in the morning sun is very strong. Not having a welcome basket with coffee, tea, or water for at least the first day. No paper products (except toilet paper), no trash bags and no hand soap.
