Lucas House 2 - Seabreeze apartment

O Sr Lucas é muito simpático, fez-nos uma recepção calorosa e elucidativa. Deixou uns miminhos para nós que muito apreciámos e quando dissemos que nos enganámos na compra das cápsulas de café para a máquina, estava lá logo de manhã com as certas (o que foi uma grande amabilidade!), que muito agradecemos. A vista para a praia não tem preço! O facto de ser só atravessar a estrada e estarmos na praia é absolutamente maravilhoso!

I don't know where all the great ratings came from. Maybe the other apartments are better than the one I got, but mine smelled so bad like mold, I had a headache for three days. When the woman walked me into the place, she walked straight over to the windows and opened them ( pretty sure she saw me gag ) and apologized telling me that they hadn't rented out that room in a while and apparently also never opened a window. But you can't keep the windows open at night, there are no screens so the flies were everywhere. The bathroom is really small and the shower is way too tiny. I'm not a big person ( 5'2") but the shower was too small for me, so I can only imagine what it would be like for a grown man. The kitchen has the basic standard items, silverware, some dishes etc. but this was the very first place I've ever stayed in where common items like coffee, condiments, tin foil, paper towels and such were not offered ( in their defense when I asked about tin foil and paper towels, thought maybe I hadn't seen them in the house , someone dropped some off the next day ). On one of the days the power went out at like 4am and it took about 10 hours for it to come back on, so no hot shower, no coffee or any way to prepare some food. oh and never did get to meet the host

The gas cooking only worked for one burner, there was no water cooker.

Location was good, across the road to beach, short walk to restaurants, quiet area. Good size kitchen, bbq area, rear courtyard.

Some maintenance needed in shower, no coffee capsules for machine, no clothes rack. for washing but washing machine supplied.

Very comfortable house right on the entrance to the beach. Amazing sea view!

Amazing location, next to the beach. Very nice flat.

Missing salt, pepper etc and old pan. But for the rest the kitchen is well equipped.

The location is perfect, the ocean and beach of course , but also lovely beachside restaurants that many local beaches do not offer. A good steady breeze ensured no bugs in May , cool temps and dry laundry. Very near street parking was readily available in May. The outdoor BBQ and sink were fun to use. Dishwasher makes clean up easy. The outdoor shower to rinse sandy feet was ideal. The front desk dining offered sunset and beach views.

The table on the front deck sags to the point that dishes slide and could be easily replaced. Older formerly nonstick fry pans need replacement also. Additional small knives with which to each meat and prepared veggies and fruit are needed (only 3 ...) Down pillows would elevate the bedding comfort. Small things that would make the stay perfect...
