Cosy studio - Old Porto

The place very near everything, the bed was so confortable and the big space of the room is nice. The kitchen is nice too the fridge is so huge.

The AC was not functioning correctly so that’s not good if it’s hot. Some moisture could be seen at the roof. The shower head was so broken it needs to be replaced, the shower door is almost falling apart pretty sure in a couple weeks someone will comment on that. Also the door does lock automatically without the key so don’t forget it, we had to call them so they come open the door, they were quick but it was at the beginning of the evening.

The property was beautiful, well laid out, comfortable and in a good location.

The property had an issue with a leak and also black mould. Definitely a health risk I would rather not been exposed to. Fire risk - we were at one point unable to open the front door fully due to some sort of security device which stopped the door opening fully. We spent at least 10mins trying to release this device to open the door fully. Could do with a better housekeeping book, giving some extra information on everything in the apartment including the above security device.

Location was amazing. Had a full kitchen and laundry

The biggest issue we had was that this property is listed as having air conditioning and that was a huge reason why we booked this as the temperature was supposed to be in the high 20s. The unit had an air conditioner in the unit but it did not work. When we brought this up with the owner he responded telling us it was not advertised with air conditioning. We sent him several photos of the listing showing it had AC and he did not respond to us. Also there are parts of the unit that look like they are covered in mold

Location was great on a quiet street but could still walk everywhere, bed was really comfortable, loved having a stove and large fridge.

The company managing the property have such poor communication. Very difficult to deal with during our stay. They offered us early check in but never checked for our response so we arrived expecting to check in early and then had to wait around for 3 more hours. On our first night the aircon broke, we let them know straight away but no one ever came to fix it (we stayed 6 days) thankfully it wasn’t a super hot week while we were there. Unfortunately this spoiled a rather lovely stay overall.

A really nicely decorated studio and it was very large . The bed is a super king and was very comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen at all but if you did want to cook everything was there that you need . Location wise it's in the centre but at the top part so about a 15 min walk down to the river which is a lovely walk down but not so much up . Loads of restaurants and bars around . Nice place downstairs to have great coffee. We would definitely stay here again if in porto .

Air-conditioning wasn't working , it wasn't hot so that wasn't an issue. There is some damp on the wall by the window on the left that needs addressing urgently.

Spacious

1. The lock/keys to the main entrance needs replacing urgently . We arrived at around 10 o'clock at night and were unable to open the front door, as it was difficult to see the key pad in the dark. After about 10 minutes we were very lucky that another couple staying in the block were returning from dining out and let us in! We then had trouble finding our apartment. The lift only goes up one floor and although our apartment was supposed to be on this floor, it was actually up another set of narrow, steep stairs. For the rest of our stay, we were concerned that we were not going to get back into the accommodation at all, due to the key to the main entrance downstairs, not working properly. On average it took us 15 turns of the key to get into the building. On the last night it took 30 tries, when it was dark and raining. 2. Mould and damp staining was situated below the ceiling in the front corner of the living/bedroom. Very unhealthy! Do Bookings not inspect the premises to check that they are up to at least a reasonable standard? Photos provided. 3. Although the property has a Rua de Bombarda address, it is situated on the junction of the very busy pedestrianised Rua de Cedofeita. Service vans, lorries and taxis are allowed access to the shops at all times, including the early mornings. Unfortunately our apartment living room/bedroom faced Cedofeita and even with double glazing (inefficient) and the large shutters closed, the noise, especially during the late evenings and early mornings from the revellers and traffic was disturbing.

It was directly in the center, over many cafes and restaurants which was great. Expect it to be louder at night, because it’s in the middle of the busy part of town. The windows isolate the sounds pretty well. Contact was ok, it is a French company that rents the apartments, so all contact was only through phone and text to Paris, there was no contact person that was directly in the city.

Great, if something was not working contact was very close by and easily fixed
