Casa da Avó Lucinda

The apartment is located on the upper hill of Nazare, which has lots of benefits as it is near to the viewpoints, and is in between the 2 main beaches, with little shops, restaurants, marketplace etc. very nearby and the funicular railway 2 minutes walk away. A Bolt or Uber from the main beach costs arond 3.5 euros. Lidl and Aldi are a 20 minute walk. The apartment itself looks out to a couple of restaurants one side, and the back of houses the other side, so don't expect sea views, but it is a lovely, pleasant little place with lots going on nearby and it is very comfortable. It is not "slick" - more typical Portuguese, which gives it a real charm. There is a filter coffee machine and very comfortable, large beds (euro queen size?).

There was no sieve or colander, and no cheese grater, so those would have been helpful. Because of the traditional nature of the apartment, there are not many plug sockets in the kitchen, so an extension cable for the microwave / toaster would be appreciated. There is nowhere to put things in the bathroom, so a shelf would help (I used the table just outside the bathroom but isn't ideal). Also, the terrace could probably do with an update as it's a bit tired, but I am nit-picking. All in all, a lovely place to base yourself if you are going to Nazare for the beach and to relax.

Wonderful 2 bedroom apartment, beautifully decorated. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Good location in Sitio, the upper part of Nazare, a 5 euro Uber from the bus station. Nearby was a pizza shop, a small bar and a restaurant still open for our 8 PM arrival. A 2 minute walk to the vista overlooking the lower part of town( definitely do this at night). A 15 minute walk to the faro overlooking the big wave area. The owner was very quick in responding.
