Excellent location for those who want to escape busyness of Funchal although it is a 50minute drive. Close to bars and restaurants and right by the ocean where you can sit and enjoy beautiful waves. The host owns the closest bar to sunset cottage which is a 2 minute walk away. He also gives you a welcome meal free of charge.

We had the apartment on ground floor for five days. The location at the end of the street, the big terrace and the view on the ocean are great. We spent the most of our time on the terrace.

The apartment could be a bit better equipped. Only one coffee cup, no garbage can, no dish cloth, no soap in the bathroom. There is a washing machine but no drying rack. Be aware the check out is at 10 and not 11.

Spotlessly clean and although basic, amazing value for money and has everything you need. The location is perfect

The listing shows pictures of several properties. It wasn't clear which one we'd booked. Would have preferred to be upstairs with the best view, but everything was otherwise so perfect this didn't matter

Quiet and very close to the sea, very delicious free dinner from the host

Had some coackroaches in there and the terrace is only the small entrance of the property where all people are walking through. So I wouldn’t recommend the apartment wirhout balcony.
