Chateau Belomonte

Location was great, apartment was spacious and clean.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean and all amenities were provided. The view of Porto from the bedrooms is superb! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again, but next time I hope the elevator is working as 4 flights of stairs with baggage is difficult. The managers did the honest thing though and mentioned this in the ad, so we booked with full knowledge.

We were asked to leave €3 per person per night in cash on the dining table when we left for the City Tax. With handing over cash, I would have liked to deal with someone face to face and receive a receipt. Better still, they should include the City Tax in the price of the apartment.

Location, apartment, neighbourhoof. Close to everything.

The apartment itself is fantastic. The location is perfect. Also the communication with the staff was flawless. I liked the beds and bed sheets.

As mentioned in reviews before, the bathrooms are very moldy. The smell is very strong and its not nice to take shower in such place. Also the noise from the traffic from the street is disturbing - you will need earplugs (but this is not the fault of accommodation).

Great location.

Caulking in shower needs to be replaced. Mold can not be cleaned under caulk must be replaced.

The location was great. Beautiful view of Porto & Gaia. Good restaurants in the area.

Walking up & down 66 winding marble stairs was unpleasant when there was an elevator (out of service)
