There was a problem with the sewage system in the apartment I rented. A persistent sewage smell was present in the kitchen and spread throughout the entire apartment. Running water did not help. The owner was aware of the problem, but when I raised the issue, she only replied that there was a sewage problem in the building and that several plumbers had already looked into it, but the problem had not been solved. If it had not been possible to close the kitchen door, I would have had to change accommodation. Although the apartment is well maintained, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, I would not rent it again because of the sewage problem.
