The Star of São Bento

The apartment was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was about a 20-minute walk to the main attractions, which was convenient. The area had some shops and restaurants nearby, making it a good option for exploring the city over several days.

Decent noise isolation from the street, can shut the windows so it is fully dark inside. 2 double beds in separate rooms so the sleeping experience was great. Also we were provided with 2 sets of keys so you can do things individually and go back to the room whenever you want.

One night lamp did not work so had to use the room lights.

Location was ok.

There are construction just across the street. Was not advised. 2nd bed was wobbly. Afraid it would break anytime. Definitely not soundproof. Though the management had a long list of rules for causing noise , meanwhile it's noisy everywhere except from our own unit. The rough touch up on the grout on the bathroom tile floor was coming off the moment you step on it and can see mold around the shower stall which was quickly covered with plaster. Smell musty. The shutter in the bedroom did not keep the light out when closed and if closed , there would be no air flow and gets very warm. All in all , not comfortable. Just know , very narrow stairs going up to the unit.

The stay was perfect!

They request a separate deposit of €200 and it takes a lot of chasing to get it back.
