The location couldn't be better! The host and the cleaning lady were really nice to us! Both the sofa and the queen bed are pretty comfy. The place was clean, the heating was great as well which is important since we stayed at the property during the winter.

The apartment itself was nice: clean, well-furnished, and equipped with all the basics.

However, my experience with the host was so negative that I can’t recommend staying here. On the first night, all the electricity in the apartment went out at 1:45 AM. I contacted the host, who luckily replied quickly even though it was late. However, the problem wasn’t fixed, and I had to spend the night in a freezing apartment (17°C) with no AC heating. The host promised an electrician would come the next morning. The next day, the host and an electrician came but couldn’t fix the problem. I was moved to a different apartment for one night and told I’d have to move back the following day. This was inconvenient, but I understood it was an emergency. The worst part was the payment situation. The stay was $240, and I had $300 in cash, but the host had no change. The host told me I could leave the payment “at any convenient time” in the key box. I took this literally and planned to pay later after splitting $100 bill. But the host expected payment on the same day, which they never made clear, and this misunderstanding led to a very unpleasant conversation. The host accused me of being disrespectful and not wanting to pay. For example, they said: • “Are you mad on me or something? [...] I see that there is no room for conversation here, you are mad on me because you did not manage for 3 days to pay for accommodation and because I am not an exchange office.” • “I could just say that I was sleeping and let you freeze all night in the room.” • “I was waiting 3 hours for you to wake up; even I could knock on the door and tell you the handyman is here.” • “Even if any time means any time, why you chose last moment to do it and put me in situation to think are you going to run away and do not pay.” I found these messages rude and unprofessional. Fixing the apartment’s electricity was not a “favor”—it’s the host’s responsibility. Waiting for me to wake up was also not a “favor”; it’s normal to let guests sleep, especially after a rough night.

The apartment is located in the very center of the city, so it was easy to find it and enjoy the gems of Belgrade during our stay. The host is exceptionally nice, we even got different pillow as the original ones were too high for us, that was such a nice touch! Totally recommend this apartment for anyone going to Belgrade!!!
