Apartman Tina

This is a wonderfully cosy apartment that truly deserves its high rating. It has everything you could need for a comfortable stay of a few days. What we especially loved is that it’s set in a heritage building with beautiful star-vaulted ceilings. The layout is great, with separate living, dining/kitchen, and bedroom areas. The bed is very comfortable, the cable TV offers plenty of English channels, and the bedroom air-conditioning cools the apartment quickly (although it stays nice and cool throughout the day). There’s also an espresso machine with pods provided, a selection of beverages, and other thoughtful inclusions. Despite being only about 15 m from a main road into the city, the apartment is very quiet — especially in the bedroom due to the very thick (about a metre), soundproof walls. That same road crosses the Danube and leads into the city centre, about a 10 to 15-minute walk away. The apartment is also just a minute or two from the stairs up to Petrovaradin Fortress. We loved staying on this side of the river, away from the city crowds and it's also close to the train station. There’s a tiny coffee shop literally next door, and a small grocery store and pastry shop just around the corner, plus a few tourist-oriented shops and restaurants in or near the fortress. The city itself is compact and everything is within walking distance (we’re in our late 50s but good walkers). Mirko was an absolute gentleman — he came to rescue us from the taxi “mafia” at the train station, and also helped sort out an oversight by our previous host with the required police reporting. Communication with him was very easy, and we think he’s done a wonderful job putting together this apartment.
