BED BUGS 🪲 ROACHES 🪳, NO AC 🔥… OH MY! 😱 Bed bugs, roaches, a non-working AC, a broken microwave, and damaged furniture were my reality at this property — and based on reviews dating back to 2023, the roaches and broken AC should have surprised no one, least of all the owner. Roaches on the first night. No working AC from the moment I arrived. A broken microwave. Damaged furniture. And bed bugs by the second night — discovered at 3:00 AM when I found a live bug on my sheet while sleeping. I stayed longer than I should have because as a property owner myself I understand that things break and pests happen — I reported everything, waited patiently, and believed the promises. Every single one went unfulfilled. What I initially extended grace toward became a documented health and safety emergency. The air conditioner displayed a C4 error from day one — a freon deficiency. Not a glitch, a known malfunction. He promised a technician. No technician came. With one of the hottest heat waves on record in Europe this was completely not acceptable! The only mitigating Factor was they had a fan but I could have stayed in a hostel for a better experience at half the cost and had air conditioning and no bed bugs. I noticed bites on day two but remained reasonable. Perhaps mosquitoes. Perhaps something else. I am not an alarmist. But the bites intensified every single day. At 3:00 AM on June 25th I got up and found a live bed bug on my sheet while I was sleeping. I have photographs of the bug, and photographs of the extensive bite marks covering my body. In addition, the microwave didn't work after 30 minutes on maximum setting. Furniture (the two chairs available to sit on in the apartment) was broken — something the owner acknowledged was left damaged by a prior guest. I am not the first to suffer here. Claudiu from Romania warned in June 2023 that the owner promised to fix the AC and never came, adding that he was "probably telling this to everybody.

The apartment was well located, but unfortunately our experience was negatively affected by hygiene issues. During our stay, we found several cockroach-like insects inside the apartment, including on the first night shortly after arrival. We reported the issue to the host the following morning and provided photographic evidence. Due to the late arrival time, we had no alternative but to stay the first night. The host was responsive and offered another apartment, but relocating was not practical for our travel plans. As a result, we remained in the accommodation despite our concerns. I believe the property would benefit from improved pest control and hygiene measures. Unfortunately, the presence of insects made it difficult to relax and enjoy the stay.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and was equipped with a microwave, fridge, kettle, cups, cutlery, teabags, and even shower gel. Towels and bedding were clean. The location is excellent providing easy access to the old town. The host gave excellent communication and provided information about attractions to visit etc.

Alex was amazing and very considerate, he made sure request are met whenever possible. Location was super as it is exactly within the city center.

It's wonderful apartment is in the center of Bucharest. Two steps to Old city. You can enjoy with all benefits of it and return home immediately
