Retro Cosy Apartment

The hosts are absolutely awesome - friendly, helpful, involved! We arrived very late but they were waiting for us and helped to park our huge van. Ot felt like if we arrived at our friends place. All the communication went fine - they speak fine english. The appartment is really nice and stylish, very cozy. Everything was clean and work well.

Initially chosen because of it's proximity to Pejovic Dental Clinic. So glad I did. Host Dejan met me & very efficiently showed me the features of the 3rd floor apartment. It has a great little kitchen, comfortable bed, & powerfull shower. Great little extras include iron, washing machine*, black out shutters, coffee machine & smoking terrace. Dejan had also left complementary water, cola, toiletries, washing up liquid, sanitiser, liquid soap, detergent*, and cable TV in both rooms. (On one 40 degree day I whacked on the AC & binge watched Morse over cool beer & takeaway pizza ! There is a huge 24H supermarket over the road.) The immediate area has eating options, coffee shops, a patisserie, a couple of bars, and access to the city centre on the 27E bus. (20-30 mins depending on traffic.) Cheap Serbian SIM cards can be purchased & loaded at the local Yettel phone shop. Once you have over RSD1000 credit on your Serbian SIM, you can ride the bus without tapping. Check Beograd Bus website in English for the text codes, zones and duration of stay. I spoke a little phrasebook Serbian & the locals were all very friendly especially during the football games. Tourists wishing to see the sights will probably stay in the city centre. Prices in this Serb Burb are noticebly cheaper than in the city. Worth considering if you are here for more than just a long weekend. I'm returning next month for more dental work. Following a bit of waiting room banter with other Brits, some of the cheap "end of bus route" properties are up very steep hills with little or no local food & drink outlets within easy reach.

Minor items I missed were an ironing board & a decent chopping board. Curious that the bigger, better TV was in the bedroom & not the lounge. Lifts were a bit hit and miss, but it was only up 6x half flights. No real issues & I have rebooked this property for my next round of dental work.

Many amenities around the place, including 24/7 supermarket and street food shops. The host was correct and very polite.
