Apartment felt like home to us. It was really big and modern. We were here just for one night, but we will surely come back. With this view from window it was magical.

The apartment is in the old renovated Vila Kollar that used to be part of the kid's sanatorium. Now each of the apartment is owned by the different owner. The apartments that are on the top floor with the roof allows you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains. The rooms and the dining area are very spacious, comfortable. Nice fully equipped kitchen allowed us to enjoy our own breakfast before going to a hike. The Villa is 3 km from the village, so its very calm. Easy connection to the village Stary Smokovec and other hiking/skiing resorts with the train - stop Donly Smokovec is 2 mins walk. Bigger supermarkets (Tesco, Lidl, etc) is down in the valley 10 km distance from the location. Hosts poorly speaks English but still was super helpful and friendly.

Nothing to complain about, highly recommended and worth coming back again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Kollar in Dolny Smokovec! The location in the High Tatras was simply breathtaking, surrounded by majestic mountains and stunning natural beauty. The villa's charm and coziness added to the overall experience, making us feel right at home. The proximity to various hiking trails and outdoor activities made it a perfect base for exploration and adventure. We couldn't have asked for a more idyllic retreat in the heart of nature.

We liked it all! Minor issue: It's worth noting that the nature of the diagonal windows allowed for early sunlight to flood our apartment, which could be a bit bothersome for those who prefer a darker sleep environment.
