Upon my arrival, the owner offered to pick me up from the train station. This was a bit of an unexpected situation, as we were supposed to meet at the apartment for the key handover. But I mistakenly got off the train one station too early. He was flexible and kind enough to make the effort and offer me free transportation. That's a big thumbs-up, in my book. As for the one-room apartment, it's clean - newly renovated, with good taste. It has all the necessary kitchen utensils and it came with complimentary bottled water, some sweets, and coffee pads for the coffee machine. Free Wi-Fi, a TV set, and bathroom towels are also provided. Plenty of space to store your travel belongings, as well. I had a good night's sleep as there is no traffic in the immediate vicinity of the building. And there was also no other noise from any of the neighbors in the building. All in all, a good place to make your base, if you want to have a 2-person place from where you can go out and explore the beautiful mountains around.

The shared hallway that leads to the apartment is not particularly well maintained, but I assume that's not under the control of the apartment's owner. Maybe in the future, this will improve. In any case, this isn't a significant issue in my opinion, but rather a small esthetical observation. One other little detail regarding the functionality of the kitchen cupboards: it can be slightly difficult to open some of the doors, as they don't have handles. Maybe it's still work in progress. As I said, everything was brand new in the apartment, when I visited. It would have been great to have a window view toward the nearby mountains, but there is a lot of greenery around the building to compensate for this.

Clean room, and enough utilities even for a long stay. It was the perfect place, situated near the center of Zarnesti.
