Apartments Holiday

I booked this apartment for one night and three people, informed the property we'll be arriving between 11 PM and midnight after a long drive. I got an answer that wouldn't be a problem, and how somebody will be waiting for us. Then the owner sent me a MESSAGE, just an hour before we were supposed to arrive to his property, telling me there is "a problem" with his apartment, and that we can't sleep at the property i booked, because of it. Without further explanation, he offered me a stay at another apartment, or to cancel my booking, so I can try finding my own accommodation. The thing is that the owner knew we were arriving after a five+ hour long drive, and that it was after 10 o'clock at night. How he thought I would be able to book another property for three people, within the next half an hour, and inform the owner I am arriving after 11 PM, at that time of night, is beyond me. So, having no other options, I accepted his apology and drove to the apartment he suggested. That the "replacement" property was not even remotely similar to the one I booked is an understatement. It was just an old house with one room that has 3 beds and a bathroom (which my two colleagues took), and a second room which has only a double bed in it (which I took). And, I later realised, probably wasn't meant for guests, since it had no bathroom, no TV, a terrible bed with the owner's belongings still inside. The two older ladies that greeted us were nice, but they insisted on a cash only payment, since they had no card reader, no cash register and no way to write us a requested company invoice, or even give us a receipt of payment, for that matter. I hate sounding like a conspiracy theorist, but it seemed to both my colleagues and myself, like the apartment listed, the one that I booked based on the pictures and the price, was just a way to get us there.

Dirty washing mashing and paid (10€).

It's really huge, 2 bedrooms and one living room. Suitable for even 10 people.

Neighborhood is not something you enjoy seeing.
