Apartment Caroline - Old Town, AC

Nice little apartment right in the old center of town. The apartment is on the top floor and has windows towards the inner court which means it's super quiet at night. The host was nice and helpful and called during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and to make sure everything was alright. Beside the usual kitchen equipment the apartment also has a washing machine and a clothing rack along with laundry detergent, which is something we haven't seen so often and came in handy during our week-long stay. We would book this again as we had a good time.

The only thing we thought could be improved were the matrasses. On one of them you could feel the some of the springs and they were quite squeeky when turnning around at night. Other than that we had a good time.

The location is excellent, and the house is pretty big and comfy. The host was also really helpful.

Host was helpful / friendly and answered the questions fast. Location is amazing.

The apartment cleaning / maintenance was really poor, there was a lot of black mould in the room wall / bathroom (we informed the host, someone came to "clean while we were out but it did not help), the bed sheets did not seems to be clean, some hair possible from other guests was found around the apartament. Shower holder was broken (it seems to be like that for at least 2 years based on other guests evaluation). The property location is amazing, the furniture seems quite new, but the poor cleaning / maintenance does not make the staying worthy.

Position, spaces, kitchen

The beds were very uncomfortable. The inside part of the pillow was dirty.

The property was ideally located, and despite being right in the centre of the old town, it didn't get noisy at night. The kitchen facilities were sufficient for our needs, and everything was about what we hoped for. There's a big Tesco supermarket less than ten minutes' walk away, and more cafes and restaurants than you can shake a stick at. Riding up to the flat in the old-fashioned lift was a cool experience!

Two things: first, it got really hot in the evenings, even with the windows open (and having the windows open meant being attacked by mosquitoes). Second, the folding door separating the bathroom from the master bedroom didn't really close properly, which meant a lack of privacy for whoever was in there using the toilet.
