The location, the value for money is unbeatable in Paramaribo and the room was small but comfortable enough with all the basic amenities.

The OWNER. He is a deceiving man and you should be careful with his tactics to cheat you. Here are my experiences: 1) I have held a reservation in Booking for a month and a few days prior to my arrival he let me konw that the place was full and I should stay in a back room at his own personal house. I refused in the beginning and then finally he conceded me the original room reserved o n Booking because "there was a cancellation by other guest". 2) I have agreed with him an airport pick-up (30 U$D) but i clearly said to him I wanted a pick up by 6 AM. My plane arrived at 1:20 AM. I wanted to stay at the airport all those hours inbetweeen because I was precisely trying to avoid the payment of and extra night at the hotel. He showed up at 1:20 AM, contary to my desire, and thus "forcing" me to pay for the extra night which of course I havent reserved on Booking. 3) He was a bit too insistent on offering the taxi services of a friend of his, even going to the length of "sanctioning" me for not asking for that one day I dared say "I have walked a long distance into town". 4) The last one was the nastiest and cheapest of all his tricks: he handed me the receipt for my payment and at the same time I handed the money out to him. After a few minutes he knocked on my room´s door asking for the money because apparently " he had forgotten to take it ". I told him he didint forget anything and that he took the money with him. His fake face of surprise confirmed what I supposed: he was trying to make me pay twice (I trick I suffered unfortunately in other countries too in the past). CONCLUSION: I suppose you could have a nice time in this place given that you are aware and can "navigate" throught the ugly antics of the owner to extoll you of your every penny.

Leo the owner was an exceptional person. He went the extra mile to make us feel as comfortable as he can. The place is not far from shopping area and the neighborhood is nice and quiet.
