Forest Beach Condo Walk to Coligny

What I liked was the convenient walking distance to the Beach, approximately 15 minute walk. Also, the condo itself was very nice, neat, clean and spacious. The PROPERTY itself Unit B08 was fine, except for a few things that ruined my trip and wasted my money. I'll explain below.

Aside from what I wrote above, I didn't like the following: somehow, the signal in most places in the unit was either weak or non- existent. The television in the Queen room could not get a signal at all, and my guest had to use her own computer to watch some form of streaming entertainment. The refrigerator didn't get very cold, so I moved some drinks to the freezer for a period of time to accelerate the coolness of the drink. But lastly, and far worse, my purpose for coming to Hilton Head for Thanksgiving was to be close to the water during my favorite Holiday of the year. I came there to decompress, recalibrate my soul and get awqy from the hustle, bustle, stress and strain of my my normal environment...I desperately needed a re-set...but on Thanksgiving morning, the owner of B12 decided that it was a good DAY (yes, I said DAY) to renivate, fix up, re-hab and repair his unit. ALL DAY LONG we heard thebsounds of hammering, drilling, moving heavy items, etc...It wasn't until my daughter yelled (which was at theblatter end of that day) that the owner knocks on our door to ask if he was disturbing us. I was 😡 furious. He then tells me that he would be working everyday, through Saturday - my entire time in Hilton Head. Although the banging and other noise did not happen on Friday; however, he picked back up Saturday morning at 10:31AM - hammering and drilling and moving stuff around. Who in the HELL works on Thanksgiving, or any holiday? The owners of our unit B08 (Xanadu) explained that there was nothing they could do because it wasn't their property. Needless to say, I drove away Sunday morning completely disturbed, disappointed, and no less stressed out that whatbI was when I showed up the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Frankly, at this point, I am not even sure why I am writing this review...I don't want or need another 'we're sorry that your trip was inconvenienced blah, blah, blah' response.

The property is beautiful! Big enough for myself, my husband and 5 teenagers to all have our own space. It is an easy walk (half mile) to a quieter part of the beach (but those of us who are older and heavier, also a place to park right by the beach access), and there's a gorgeous pool area, The condo is extremely well-appointed, and even had beach chairs and boogie boards for us to use! We were very happy with everything!

Literally the only thing that could have been better is the ventilation throughout the condo. The master bedroom and room with two doubles and a twin don't get much air flow from the HVAC system. Also I think the "queen" bed in the second bedroom was actually a double, but that's no big deal.

It was a good time. Convenient location and easy access to everything.

The floors in the bedroom are slanted seems to be a structural issue. paying money to was your clothes. Internet was bad

Absolutely perfect! From the condo to the location to the communication, our stay was amazing!

There was nothing I didn't like.

The unit was spacious and felt like home. We were able to walk to the beach in about 5 minutes and to a local coffee shop in about 10 minutes. The location was perfect!

The living room overhead light was broken, so it was very dim.

Some things that made the stay at the property not pleasant • in the closet dirty children clothes and in the drawers were clothes leftover • the light in the living room and over the table were not working made the room dark not able to really enjoy conversation and playing card games • one of our major concerns were the lack of handicap accessibility’s for our 89 mother. We could not get her chair in the bathroom. So it made a lot of work for us (which we don’t mind she is our mom) and made her uncomfortable and hesitant about using the bathroom on her own. I would highly recommend that you add hand guard rails
