Beautiful Old Apartment with Beach Gear

Matthew, the host, was great. Very communicative, quick response time and professional! The apartment was clean, quite and has a comfortable homey feel to it.

Location was good. Dedicated parking lot, shared washer and dryer. Fully equipped kitchen, a lot of amenities, handy closet. Loved the outlet adapter that allowed us to use our European cords. Very nice plants on the backyard - this must be from a nice lady that live in apt 5. In general - most of the good things were totally crossed out by the heat, mess and dirt all over the place.

We loved the pics and we noticed great reviews - mistakenly decided to stay for 2 weeks :( The place was a complete mess! It's definitely not the same as on the pics. The following made our stay a DISASTER: 1) Extreme DIRT everywhere. I'm attaching the images taken right after check-in- take a look by yourself. This was barely (if ever) cleaned from the couple of previous guests I assume. The carpet was probably the worst - so dirty that after literally 2 minutes, our toddler got black feet and black knees. See the image attached. Well - at least bedsheets and blankets were fresh. 2) Kitchen utensils were dirty after previous guests - I had to rewash EVERYTHING. Some glasses had traces of alcohol that was never even rinsed under water - see attached. The oven inside was TRASHY. 3) One glass was damaged - while I was re-washing it I cut my fingers. Terrible! 4) Damaged kitchen pots and pans - they are scratched to the surface, which makes their usage impossible in case you don't want to get sick. 5) Rust of some of the utensils - like can opener. 6) Dirty spots and nasty smell from the kitchen cabinets. 7) Extremely dirty AC with the mould inside (!!) - disgusting. You can't stay in FL comfortably without an AC. We didn't turn it on - which made our stay miserable because of the heat! 8) Old bathtub faucets gave us a hard time using the shower - not to say shower head was barely (if not at all) adjustable. 9) Washer and dryer can only be used from 8am till 8pm. In case you're away for a day and want to use it in the morning or in the evening - you can't. Which I found very inconvenient. 10) Outside area used to have a cement bench a table. Now it's broken and beware leaning or putting anything on that table - it can fall apart at any time. 11) There was a sneaky cat that was ALWAYS trying to run into the apt. It can't be sooshed and paid no attention. We wanted to open the doors since the AC wasn't working, but we can't.

The place is spacious and clean. Had all the amenities I needed and the beach gear was a plus. The location is amazing with many facilities within walking distance. Quiet and pleasant..
