Central Area Apartments

Wow. This apartment is huge. A bedroom, a living room, kitchen, bathroom and toilet, and a wide hall between them. Also a very nice balcony with a view towards Chreščatyk. Washing machine works well, and for the first time in Ukraine, I had a shower with a strong waterflow. The apartment doesn't get hot, it's cozy all day, the bed is super comfortable, as is the couch in the living room, it was a joy to spend my time here, close to Chreščatyk, enjoying Kyiv. Bathroom was clean, bed was also pristine, WiFi worked well.

The apartment is very old, worn, and dirty. The hot water gives about 3-4 minutes of shower time and smells like rotten eggs. They refuse to turn on the radiators in the winter and require you to use a small electric space heater. In the bedroom one morning it was 16C. Entry to the building is by ringing a bell and waiting to be buzzed in. On several occasions the concierge was absent, one time for almost 20 minutes, at which point she returned with shopping bags. They left one roll of toilet paper for a two week stay. The host was friendly and prompt in replying. The location is fantastic.

If you're looking for an inexpensive location in the heart of Kyiv, you've already found it. And it is an apartment in a beautiful old building, on a nice and quiet Lutheranska Street, and at the same time right next to Khreshchatyk. The apartment is spacious, not badly maintained and contains almost everything you could want.

The only source of disappointment was that the air conditioning is only in one room and that is not the bedroom but the living room. As a result, I had to sleep more on the couch there than in the (by the way, very comfortable!) bed. In addition, the chair standing on the balcony was damaged and fell apart after two or three days, I think. But these are trifles! Basically everything was OK and I recommend this location!

I am not sure why but there was no hot water in the unit. The whole experience was impacted by this small yet important detail. I had to boil water in a kettle. I could not wash my hair during the whole stay. Otherwise, it would have been a very nice stay.

The location is premium. Close walk to several places. Globus mall is nearby as are several restaurants. Below apartment is a grocery and a bake shop. very convenient.

Hot water was plentiful for a shower. If you wanted a bath you might run out of hot water. The traffic pattern in the area is complcated with one way streets.
