Historic w/deck, king bed & air by Lake Michigan

I've stayed at this property two years in a row for the Lumberjack 100 mountain bike race. It's perfect for a couple, with enough kitchen supplies to prepare meals and nutrition for race day. Location is fine, within walking distance to town.

AC is a bit loud, but turned on long enough to cool the property and then shut off. Despite record heat, it stayed cool enough with ceiling fans to stay comfortable.

Cozy apartment. Close to town and work. Quiet neighborhood.

The apartment is a studio (no bedroom door) and has everything you need for a short stay. The unit was very clean when we arrived.There is a comfy king bed, a very nice balcony with a "fire pit", well appointed kitchen (the dried pasta and can of red pasta sauce left for us was a nice touch!). Small bathroom, but big, fluffy towels. The unit is quite cozy. It really isn't big enough for more than two adults. If you like to walk, it is pretty easy to get into the downtown/Riverwalk area and also to the beach area. Manistee is a great little beach town with a beautiful, sandy Lake Michigan beach. Nice restaurants and shops.Don't miss sunset from the beach!

The front hallway and stairs up to the unit need a refresh. Old carpet has left a musty smell.

It was very close to the casino and the lake. Quite little neighborhood. Over all it was nice and clean.

The bed could have used a couple more pillows and the couch was not the most comfortable.

I liked the comfort of the apartment area I stayed in. The balcony was nice for an evening hangout, the living room area was cozy and inviting for relaxing in, and the kitchen was more than adequate for preparing a meal or for arranging anything carry-out. This location is very close to the downtown area!
