The location was fine.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. The claims that the property make and the representative photographs they put up on the booking.com website are highly misleading. The apartment was in a very poor state of maintenance. When we entered the property we found that the sliding door of the bathroom would not close because the rollers of the door had come off the rail on which it is supposed to slide. The air conditioner was in a very bad shape. Most of the settings on the AC could not be read. There were some dirty pieces of paper stuck on those settings to indicate what they were. The power on-off button was faulty and every day it would take us quite a bit of effort to switch on the AC. The microwave oven was standing on 2 supports instead of four- there was a wooden block supporting one corner and the oven was stacked against the wall to compensate for the missing 4th corner. There was a general state of disrepair- for instance, the back of one of the shelves had come off and the nail was sticking out, and so on.

The bed was super comfy, better than at home. Room had all the stuff needed. Location is also great.

Noise from the street - but it was just 1 night.

It’s not an apartment and the kitchen is barely usable

Location is 10/10 - perfect for walking Waikiki and not having a car. Easily able to walk to Waikiki beach and anything in Waikiki area, close to bus routes and easy pick-up/drop -off taxi using hotel driveway. Small, but clean and comfortable. Beds are really comfortable. AC and WiFI both worked well. Closet space to hang things as well as some shelves/cubby's to help with small space. Laundry room available (pay with credit card) in basement/carpark level. Full size shampoo/conditioner and body wash provided.

No sink in kitchenette- the kitchenette was fine for us as we weren't cooking but it really is just one shelf, would be hard to cook, fridge very small. Even just small bottled water to help get started before we could go to the shop to stock up would be nice as the only sink is by the toilet in bathroom. Curtains don't quite cover the windows properly. I do understand time is needed to prepare the room, but check-in is quite late at 3pm and we weren't able to get it any earlier even an hour or so. I think just clarity from the start would help - this is a small apartment within (and independent of) 'Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki Hotel' - it's good to know this for directions/maps/taxi etc. (You do get this info from the host closer to booking date) Also for bag storage the host recommends "Waikiki Welcome Center" which though the location/cost of bag storage is all correct and we used it with no issue- it's called Hoku wireless, and is a small phone shop. Our Uber dropped us to address which is on the corner not far from it, but was hard when looking for a sign that wasn't there. Look for shop 102 called Hoku wireless.

Central location; 5min to busy area of Waikiki and 10min to Waikiki beach

The studio was not very clean - the table was dirty with old food, hair from previous guests in the bathroom, shower not clean, towels were stained... It really needs a thorough cleaning! Also, the fridge was not working properly and we had to throw some food out because of that.

Everything needed was provided.

It was too noisy.
