Elegant Turtle Bay Condo

We loved the north beach and all the amenities that came with this condo including that they had snorkel equipment and beach towels for renters to use. Kitchen was very well equipped.

The description made it seem like the pool was private meaning just for our condo. It was a community pool for all the units in that area. In the end it didn’t matter since the beaches were so fantastic!

The location in the Turtle Bay Resort area was great, set as it is in the midst of the golf course -- calm and green. Walkable access to beautiful un-busy beaches. Very nice to have nice restaurants to walk to. The apartment was spacious enough and had good stocks of consumable goods.

I have a personal aversion to the scent of Bounce dryer sheets, which filled the apartment from the moment we walked in. We had to put them in the dryer to block the overpowering odor. (All of the scents that come with most ordinary cleaning products smell terrible -- please consider using unscented products.)

Perfect location. Kitchen and laundry let us cook and pack lighter.

Feral cats

The switch that was supposed to control the light and fan over the table did not work. It appeared to have short in it so we never tried to turn it on after the first try. The light in the shower off the bedroom was out and did not work. The other light in the bathroom gave enough light to take a shower. The entry door had no sweep on the bottom which allowed bugs and plenty of light to come in as we found one bug dead one morning when we got up. The screen door hinges squeaked loudly every time you opened and closed it. The hinges need to be cleaned and lubricant applied to them.

Very clean, well-stocked rental. Great location on the North Shore of Oahu. The use of the pool was a lot of fun for visiting family. Two bathrooms were convenient. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of windows to open for the breeze.

There was a short in the light/fan in the living room so it kept turning off by itself. Not a big problem.

The property was in a great location, easy walk to the beach and the restaurants - right on the golf course. Kitchen was excellent for cooking.

It was a little dated and needed some sprucing up. Was expensive for 1 night because of the cleaning fee. This wouldn’t be as big an issue if you were staying for 3 or more nights.

Unit had everything we needed. Bedroom was spacious with a full dresser and closet. TV had all the channels we would normally watch. Pool was nice and not crowded.

Could use some paint touch-up here and there. Gaskets on the refrigerator doors could use some extra cleaning.

It was 20 min or less from all of the surfing spots we wanted to go and 5-10 min from foodland for groceries. Nice place, great kitchen full of everything in order to cook a proper meal and save money from eating outside. Friendly staff, a lot of space and great green backyard.

I feel like me and my friends were satisfied overall. I would recommend to invest in a better smart TV that support Netflix, Hulu or Airplay for chilling properly after a full day of paddling instead of watching it on the laptop. I think it’ll make it even more enjoyable and homie. Price was cheaper than the rest but still felt kind of higher than our expectations.
