On the water - Thesen

A perfect location above the water, it was quiet, well equipped, comfortable and lovely. We will definitely return.

The location of this house is wonderful. It is in a very safe area with secure parking and a two minute walk to the nearest restaurant and cafes. The views from the house are stunning, looking over the bay and the yachts berthed there - gorgeous to waken up to and to watch the sun set. The house itself is very modern with everything you need for a few days. I had the impression that not many people had used the kitchen, preferring to eat out, but we made the most of it as it was a nice change during our 4 week holiday in S. Africa to have a couple of days preparing a light meal! The bed is extremely comfortable and it was very nice to have a large en-suite bath/ shower area and dressing area. The lovely owner met us on arrival with the keys and explained everything. She was also on hand if we had any questions.

This is a gated island with high levels of security. It is a slightly convoluted process to check in at the island as you need to send information electronically in advance which we found quite difficult. However, the owner very kindly helped with this via WhatsApp. This is no reflection on the property itself, simply a requirement for everyone on the island and it was good to know that the place was very secure.

The back up electricity worked and the water tasted alright.

Security access was very inconvenient. Soundproofing between property and owners house was non existent. Tumble dryer broken. Settee in lounge area too low and uncomfortable. Main bedroom, one blind broken off and no cover over one window, light at 5am. No privacy from owners. A relief to leave.
