While I didn’t feel unsafe, it would have been good to know the property does not have restricted access

The place was clean and modern. Comfortably furnished in all rooms.

We wanted to check in at 2hpm and I informed the host thereof through booking.com beforehand and messaged her to let her know that we arrived in Knysna at about 11ham and asked her for the checking in information. She said she'll let me know closer to the time. But the communication about check in only came at 2h08pm on booking.com. We arrived at the complex at 1h55pm and asked security to assist us and I called the host's number on booking.com. It's only courteous for a host to let us know early enough, before check in expected time, regarding arrangements, not wait for us to arrive first. Especially since I informed her that I'm close by. The host lacks a personal touch.

Very nice furnished and good location

There was mold in the bathroom and it was a bit smelly in the rooms

The apartment met all of our expectations, what you see on the picture is exactly the same. The apartment is clean, beds are comfortable. The location is close by to town and 5 min to the Knysna Waterfront. I highly recommend the place 10/10.
