Edge of Eden

The beautiful views over the vlei & distant mountains, the secluded location in amongst the trees, the outdoor shower & hot tub, the fire pit ‘lapa’ & the modern and tastefully decorated unit with lots of windows making you feel part of the bush.

The sleeper couch wasn’t very comfortable & wasn’t suitable for tall adults.

The place is exactly as advertised and it's spacious.

There were ants in the refrigerator and also some of the utensils were dirty

First impressions - Great check-in experience, the property was much more spacious than what we initially thought. The view from the terrace is absolutely beautiful! Great bath and outdoor shower. The property has a fireplace and electric blankets for chilly nights. Very private and serene environment. Large kitchen with smaller lounge, although we did not spend much time in front of the tv so this was not an issue for us. The road to the accommodation is made of gravel and at first was a bit of a challenge for our small car, but we got used to it after a couple of nights.

The bath stopper did not work when we arrived, but once reported it was fixed by the next day. The eco hot tub is lovely and we enjoyed it on the first night, but it takes significant work to set up yourself, so we would recommend arranging with the caretaker to set it up. The kitchen is very well laid out with everything you'd need, although the chopping boards could do with a refresher. All minor inconveniences more noticeable for longer stays and it did not take away much from our great experience.

Love that is was a hidden gem on the hilltop .Aubrey was such a pleasure to be greeted by .

Just running out of hot water when showering but changed the gas bottle and all sorted

When we arrived our booking was not known to the cleaners and had to wait for the place to be made ready for us
