There was a dirt road to get there. It was further than what I thought. The cell phone signal was bad , and gps didn't work very well

I loved waking up to the beautiful mountains views. It is exactly what I was looking for, the view, serenity, a running/walking trail for those who like that, perfect for someone who wants to have a peaceful place that feels like home away from home. The kitchen and the bathroom are spacious. And she was kind enough to let me park my car under the shade since it was raining. Laurette (the owner) made sure that I was comfortable as possibly as I can. She was also kind enough to educate me about her plants and for letting me have her tasty fruits that were ripe in her garden. I also got some plants to plant back in Jhb. The hospitality at Van Ross was out of this world. I feel like I am part of the family now.

I didn’t like that it was too beautiful and serene that I hardly went out to explore the town more :)

Lovely bush location, safe enough to walk in the veld and see birds and some wildlife. Nearby Marakele National Park has stunning mountain scenery. Cottage is roomy and there is plenty of bird life.

No issues.
