Echo garden apartment in Camps Bay

Sehr sauberes Zimmer. Unkomplizierte und herzliche Gastgeberin. Kein Stromausfall. Sichere Umgebung. Auto konnte bei der Gastgeberin hinter dem Tor parkiert werden. Ca 15-20 minuten zu Fuss zum Strand/Restaurants. Parkplätze und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten an der Promenade.

Unfortunately, we had a negative experience at Pamela's. When we returned from dinner the day we arrived, the entire apartment was full of millipedes - in the bathroom in the shower, behind the curtains, behind the bed, on the walls and even between the bedsheets! In total, there must have been 30 millipedes that had entered the apartment through the leaking joints/walls from the garden. When we informed Pamela that we could not sleep in the apartment like this, she let us stay in her house in the guest room and applied insect spray in the apartment. We agreed to talk the next day about how to proceed. At noon the following day, Pamela informed us by message (we were on a hike) that she would put our suitcases back in the apartment and we should sleep there for the remaining 3 nights booked. I explained to her repeatedly that I am pregnant and did not want to sleep in a room where toxic insect spray had been sprayed. When we checked the room in the evening, there were again few millipedes crawling there. The mere fact that more millipedes could crawl into bed at night through the obviously leaky walls further made the apartment uninhabitable for us. Pamela let us sleep another night in her house and announced however that we would have to sleep the last two nights in the apartment. Thereupon we decided to leave the accommodation and looked for something new at short notice. Since Pamela did not agree with this, she refunded us only one instead of two nights (and also lied to us that Booking.com would charge a cancellation fee). Upon inquiry, Booking.com told us that a refund is determined solely by the host. Pamela’s overall behavior is absolutely unjustified and disappointing for us and has definitely spoiled the beginning of our South Africa Babymoon trip.

Kleine aber schöne Unterkunft mit super Lage! Ebenso toller Außenbereich mit Pool. Die Besitzerin ist auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Stayed here for 5 nights during our time in camps bay! We both absolutely loved it, it was clean, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The pool area was amazing and we felt relaxed and at home. The hosts were great and were there if we had any questions / needed any help. Great location, only 10 minute walk from the seafront! Would 100% stay here if we ever return to camps bay, we thoroughly recommend!!

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und immer behilflich. Die Lage des Appartements ist sehr gut. Es ist nicht weit zum Strand von Camps Bay, aber trotzdem eine ruhige Wohngegend.

Loved the friendliness of the owners, gave us glasses of champagne and allowed me to use their private facilities when we had a power outtage. The pool was lovely and clean, we could use the washing machine whenever we wanted. They are extending the accommodation for the future, even more of a bonus, would stay again. Only very slight downside was that there was no air-con but we managed with lots of open windows and a fan.

Air-con would have made it perfect.
