The apartment is clean, allows for privacy and is fully equipped with everything a family would need for day to day functioning. The entertainment/play area is family-friendly overall but swimming pool maintenance needs attention. A good getaway & vacation spot.

Management should have at least 1 admin staff member available to deal with & follow up on emergencies. Security is not equipped to deal with maintenance matters on the property. I find it very disturbing and totally unacceptable that my 6 year old granddaughter had severe chemical burns from the excessive chlorine levels in the swimming pool. The epidermal layer of the skin on her neck, her inner arm & groin literally burnt and peeled off revealing raw tissue underneath! She screamed and screamed, incessantly! Fortunately, we had brought a first aid kit to deal with the immediate effects. Moreover, another guest who'd had the same experience with her child, supplied us, with an ointment which offered some relief until we could get proper medical assistance after we checked out. Needless to say, a number of disgruntled guests voiced their discontent around the high chlorine levels & their own experiences of the effects. Most disappointing that there was not a single member of staff to report to, other than security who just responded by saying that everyone's gone home. No admin staff from 6pm (noticed this because I went to submit the snag list post completion on Saturday 30th December 2023 & security informed us that 'the lady is gone home', referring to Samantha from admin who'd welcomed us, in this instance). Kids all reported experiencing burning eyes & irritated skin on Saturday 30th after a +/- 30 minute period in the swimming pool. This experience of the swimming pool worsened on Sunday 31st December 2023. The experience put a damper on what was an otherwise perfect New Year's eve getaway. Very disappointed that in spite of showing security pictures of my granddaughter's burns, not a single person from Pearly Shells has contacted us to enquire after her wellbeing. Which begs the question...if her injuries were worse, who would take responsibility? Date: 02 January 2024; Time: 08h30

We really enjoyed our stay, it was comfortable and clean, the view was also nice.

No wi-fi available as advertised.

I liked the ocean view and the braaing area.. and the i liked how we were welcomed..

Bed sheets and curtains I didn't like them because I was expecting something more nicer than that.
