Kerry and team, Wendy, Portia, the other Wendy, were so warm and friendly, it was as though we were being welcomed by family. They were most kind and made us feel at home. They showed us all that we needed to know at the outset, and let us know how they could be contacted, should we need anything during our stay. . . . The staff went above and beyond the call of duty, helped us clean a spill in our suitcase, washed and ironed our clothes at no extra charge. They did this with friendliness and cheerfulness. They have a generator which runs during the day when the power cuts in the area for load shedding, so we were not left without power or wifi when we needed it during the day. The generator is turned off from 10 pm to 8 am, which was fine, encouraging reasonable sleeping hours.

These things are tiny: The fridge door opened away into the corner, so it was a little harder to get around, than if it had opened into the room. The oven door closed by itself, so taking hot things out needed extra hands or potholder insert. Outside light comes in at night when power is on, so, although there are curtains, the light comes through, so we put blankets and rugs up over the windows at night so there wasn't too much light in the room, and we could sleep soundly.
