Peaceful 1-bedroom granny flat in Sunnyside

My stay did not include breakfast.

The host did not mention in the ad that she had two dogs on her property, which were behind a wall that they possibly could easily jump over since they could stand over it. When I told her that I was uncomfortable with the dogs because I felt unsafe, she became annoyed and would ignore my calls and text messages asking her to take the dogs inside the house so I can be able to go in and out without feeling like I could be attacked by the dogs at any moment. Furthermore, the flat has a sliding door which came off the track on the same day I arrived. The host said she would fix it, but it never got fixed until I left.

This property was great for what I wanted. A very good base for the 2 weeks I was there running a course. All the facilities I needed and good WiFi. Secure garage for the car. Lovely host who looked after me but let me get on with things so I felt it was my home for the 2 weeks.

Other than the usual South African problem of load shedding (this property has an inverter so internet remains active), there were no negatives.

The hostess was kind, helpful and efficient and went out of her way to make my stay pleasant. Not a single aspect that was not ideal, apart from the loadshedding, which she had no control over. Garage parking for my car, and the room was totally private. Just ideal😁👍

The location was in a very quiet area.

I was happy

A very tranquil space, it was neatly kept and quite comfortable.

The sliding door curtain didn't close properly, kind of felt exposed a bit.
