Somerset Grace Cottage

I liked that the place looked exactly like the picture and we had warm water and beds with a great location. We had a fireplace and a heater. The beds were nice and firm and we all slept very well. He was nice enough to have us check in about 30 minutes earlier.

A few days before our arrival, I was informed that the place got a new owner. It was chaos with people busy with construction when we got there and I had to search for the new owner to pick up the keys. We didn't have enough toilet paper, or big towels for showering. We got two small hand towels each to use. This place has a lot of potential but it's not near a 9.6 score that it claims to have. In order to have a high score, you need shampoo, conditioner, milk or creamer in the kitchen with coffee and tea. The place has got great potential but it's the little things that will make people come back. But as a woman, the small hand towels is a huge disappointment. In addition, the bath was still dirty and we had to clean it by ourselves. Also, with loadshedding, it would be nice for the guests to have information about when the loadshedding is. We started making food but then we got hit with loadshedding and had to order in. My suggestion would be; better cleaning of the bathroom, bigger towels, a recycle bin, more blankets, the basics such as shampoo/conditioner in the shower/bath, and more communication from the owner's side.

No wood or blitz for fireplace, sinxe it was also full of ashes from prevuious guesr, so we could do nothing to heat the room. The reat was perfectm lovely spacious and aecure
