Anchors Away

Spotless and spacious

Wonderful modern, clean, well equipped apartment in a very quiet area near all the amenities, with lovely views of the sea. The host Neil was very quick to reply with any queries and was a hub of information if needed. We stayed at Anchors Away for my husband's special birthday, and the guest information Neil includes with your booking gave me ideas for restaurants and nearby pubs to visit. We met up with friends and family to surprise him, so I recommend Lychees a five minute walk from the apartment and then a little jaunt to The Brig to a welcoming pub with amazing staff and Karaoke. I decided I wasn't going to cook, but there were plenty of utensils and a huge dining table if I did, we walked along the front to blow away the cobwebs and up to the Gaiety Theatre to the Stage Door cafe for an amazing breakfast. To the Guinness drinker, my husband highly recommends Smiths Bar, where we had a lovely lunch. We went to Girvin for the day and walked along the harbour and visited all the little friendly shops and had a lovely meal in Malys cafe 😋, will definitely visit again but might try Neil's other Apartment for a change called the Anchors Rest. To end this 5* review highly recommend.

The flat was warm and really comfortable with everything we needed and more. I was travelling with my elderly aunt who has mobility issues. I wanted to particularly thank Neil for his thoughtfulness and hospitality. He was very helpful in describing the property before I booked, in meeting us on arrival and in accommodating our needs. His kindness made all the difference to our stay.

It was in a quiet location with easy access to both the beach and town centre.
