We stayed in the cottage, not the main house. It is a quaint little cottage, very cute and very compact, so be prepared if you're used to larger spaces. It’s beautifully decorated, and the hosts have tried their best to ensure a comfortable stay. In the bedroom there are plenty of blankets and towels, and even an electric blanket for added warmth. The lounge is cosy and inviting, with a small fireplace that adds to the charm. The kitchen is well-equipped with a microwave, fridge, two-plate gas stove, cutlery, and crockery, most things you need for a short stay. The cottage is in a safe community, so we were comfortable to park outside (there was no parking provided inside the property). There are restaurants and other amenities in close proximity. The Pancake Place is always a highlight for me because the food is fresh and it's the best place for pancakes and waffles.

The cottage is very small, just enough space for two people. The kitchen lacks cupboards; instead, everything is stored on open shelves, which can feel a bit cluttered. Some basic utensils were missing, such as an egg lifter, wooden spoons, chopping board. The counter space is extremely limited. The small surface is shared by the electric kettle, two-plate gas stove, Nespresso machine, toaster, and other appliances, leaving very little room for meal prep. The most uncomfortable aspect of the setup is that the kitchen leads directly into the bathroom, with no separation between the two :-( The pictures on the listing don't reflect this. The bathroom itself is tiny but functional, we had hot water for showers, which was a plus. The bedroom, while well-equipped, is also very small.

It's a cosy interesting place.

The pluming, the shower tap for the cold water is broken and falls off and the water in the main bedroom does not seem to get hot.

The space is bursting with character. Beautifully decorated, it was inspiring to see what they did with an old home.

The property was perfect for a short break away. It was nice and quiet as the property is located on the outskirts of town. Although the unit was tiny, it was beautifully decorated and well laid out. We could walk into town which was nice although you do need to be quite fit as it is at the top of town.

The information on the website was a bit confusing as there is a main house and also the little flatlet that we stayed in. It is important to be clear what you are booking as the photos shown are for both. The kitchen in the flatlet could have had more equipment such as a chopping board but on the plus side it had a great fridge and coffee machine. We would have preferred clearer directions on where the parking was, we are from Joburg so don't want to leave the car parked outside no matter how safe we were advised the area was. We parked in the main cottage parking, fortunately the guests staying there only had one vehicle so there was room for both of us.

Cosy cabin feel. I absolutely loved it. Quiet and tranquil. The property has everything you need. There are cats in the garden, bonus!

It does not have an aircon, luckily it was raining so the fan was more than enough.
