Everything was awful. The photos are an absolute false representation of what actually is present. It was dirty. Dog poo outside the entrance. Insect or rat poo in kitchen. Smelly. Grass overgrowing the patio. Broken toilet. We left immediately on arrival and booked alternative stay.

Perfect location, close to restaurants and the beach. Friendly neighborhood, with lots of sightseeing.i will leave to tel the tale

This property is literally across the road from West Beach and Guido's family restaurant. The external windows and doors of this specific unit deserve special mention as they have rubber around them and this makes the place almost sound-proof and definitely wind-proof. Even when there was music playing at Guido's, it was not bothering us. The floors are beautiful and it was really handy to have a washing machine in the unit. Also an air-dryer for the washing, which came in very handy. I was in Port Alfred to drop-off my son at University, so I could wash all his clothes before he had to book in. The kitchen has a small microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer, big enough for 4 people. Vuvu came and changed the linen after 4 nights and she is very friendly and helpful. This unit is basic, but it has everything one needs for a beach holiday at a very reasonable price. I will be back!

There was a rubber mat in the shower, which I found very off-putting, but we removed it (with gloves :-)) and hanged it on the outside washing-line. We then cleaned the shower ourselves before using it. The cupboard in the bedroom with two single-beds is being used for extra linen and I presume cleaning materials. It smells a bit off-putting when you open it. There are also camping chairs etc. stored in the hanging side of the cupboard, so it limits hanging space quite a bit. The pots and pans looked like it had some old burned food in it, but it could also be the non-stick coating that was coming off. The tin-opener was not working properly, which was a bit inconvenient. The one couch in the lounge has seen better days, the cushions have collapsed, so it is not all that comfortable to sit on, but we spent most of our time sitting at the lovely dining-table so that did not bother us all that much.

The couches were well used and need to be replaced. The double bed in the main room was also not up to an acceptable standard.
