The location of the farm is excellent, close to the central town and easy access to the trams. There are several top rated wine farms in close vicinity. It is definitely perfectly located. The farm itself is great, after wine tasting in the day, one can have short walks around the farm, enjoy tasting the berries and the good views around the dam\lake. Check in was smooth and friendly reception. The unit was clean and well serviced, and has the bare necessities required to sustain ones self, and a very good weber which we used a lot at night. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend staying here, but select one of the other units.

I made the mistake on not viewing the photos of the specific unit (looked only at the photos of the total establishment). I did not realize (my fault, if I viewed the photos would have perhaps not booked the unit as the photos depicted exactly what we got) that the unit had a open plan shower with a toilet right next to it, and the sink was in the bedroom not near the toilet. It was cumbersome as after a shower we had to sweep the water to ensure we don’t slip and fall at night. In saying that, would be a good idea to close off the shower and add a sink. Also, the larger sofa was old and bouncy, felt like you were falling into it. Could do with small upgrades on that sofa and perhaps a slightly larger TV, although did not view the TV as an issue. It is only the above that stops me from rating it higher, would rate the rest of the place maximum though

Jonathan was a excellent host, could not do enough for us. It was so nice and private, one felt really rejuvenated after your stay. Will definitely go back.

It was such a lovely cabin at an amazing spot, nice view and lovely fish and birds to watch. Tranquility at its best!

The cabin wasn’t lockable. We moved couches and chairs in front of the door at night. Both locks sliding door and trellidoor were broken and my room door wasn’t lockable as well 😅

Amazing views all around and the host was exceptional. His welcome drinks upon arrival are truly exceptional and definitely worth buying a bottle or two. Very close to the wine tram and some of the best wine farms in the country.

Nothing really comes to mind, you can self cater, as the property has all the kitchen and braai facilities available. Even though Franschhoek is Expensive, the accommodation provides a way around this. Truly exceptional.

Friendly, accommodating reception. Comfortable stay, comfortable bed. Friendly help with extra requests, extra mattress, etc. Quiet area.

Braais need upgrade. Place to hang towels at basin in room and a luggage bench in room would be nice.

The location is great, and the cottage is extremely neat. We swam in the dam at the house, which has crystal clear, clean water. I found the host to be very friendly, and he went out of his way to make us feel comfortable.
