La Verdure Fruit Farm

Great self catering unit. Had everything we needed. The host came over to the unit to chat about the history of the property which was interesting. The were very accomodating, I will stay at this property again.

Really cute cottages in a stunning, beautiful part of F'hoek. It is a very easy short drive into town. The cottage was well-appointed with all the necessities and the Nespresso machine was a welcome surprise after weeks of instant coffee. The bed was very comfy and - despite the heat during the day - there was an amazing breeze at night and lack of A/C was not an issue at all. We never lost power during loadshedding either. We loved the views of the plum trees, the mountains, and the night sky. The lake/pond was a delight and family & friends enjoyed kayaking and swimming. I wish we stayed another day or two - it was too short!

Wonderful little cottage on a working fruit farm. Peace and quiet with exceptional view on the mountains. Fully equipped for a self catering holiday. Centrally situated to explore all of Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch. Thank you Jonathan for your hospitality and friendly conversations. Unit was serviced daily during weekdays.

No shower screen and wash basin in the bathroom. Wash basin was in bedroom.

I loved the location on a Fruit Farm with beautiful mountain views, as well as close proximity to all the wine farms and restaurants and shops in Franschoek.

The kitchen was extremely "hotch potch" there were no matching plates, shortage of bowls, no decent glasses. The cutlery was the same, very disappointing. The bathroom shower rose was desperate, spraying everywhere with very little water pressure. I do believe for the price we paid it was a bit rundown and shabby. Could do with modernisation.

We enjoyed the environment, the silence and being away from everyday life, yet still being close to Franchhoek and everything offered there.
