A memorable stay in beautiful surroundings - couldn't fault Ontevreden Farm, even if we tried!

Wow...! No review or picture could justify how beautiful and amazing Ontevreden Farm accomodation is. It is absolutely breathtaking, it is more than amazing! This is the place you dream of when you feel that you need to escape reality. The cottage, the wood fired hot tub, the rooms, the farm, the service, the kitchen, the entire setting... are all nothing short of amazing. A huge thank you to the hosts Tiaan and Wendy who ensures that you are more than okay. They also do a fantastic job to ensure that your arrival and stay is smooth and pleasant. While typing the review I feel that even words such as beautiful and amazing may seem like an understatement. There are so many thoughts and words left unsaid. Ontevreden farm accomodation is a heaven on earth! You have to experience it yourself...

Absolutely everything was amazing, Our hosts Wendy and Tiaan are the most thoughtful people. After booking there was constant communication from them as well as during our stay. The freshly made pancakes we received were the perfect touch, so unexpected and the most thoughtful little surprise on our first morning. We will definitely be back We felt so at home and were sad to leave. Thank you for making our little getaway so special ❤️

The house is fantastic - really spacious and comfortable and the views are great. We also really enjoyed the wood fired hot tub. The hosts were really friendly and helpful.

While the property is self catering it would be nice to have some basic toiletries in the bathroom, like hand soap, shower gel and maybe even bubble bath for the room with the bathtub.

Very nice setting with beautiful views over vineyards and mountains, lovely spacious with great deck. Nice walks around all the orchards and vineyards, and up to foothills of the mountain. Generator automatically kicks in whenever there is loadshedding! All is very new!!

In really hot weather, lack of fans/aircon, although at the price for the stay, you cannot really expect a/c included!

This property really exceeded our expectations! we just had to book another night to further enjoy it, and we are most definitely returning for another stay. Although the photos are great to describe the property, they don’t do justice to just how beautiful it really is. Spacious, comfortable, modern yet classic, breathtaking views.. but also the highest quality within. I haven’t slept so good in years, maybe the fresh air, but definitely the comfort. The best part.. the absolute most stunning views of vineyards and mountains surrounds the whole property, with an abundance of outside comfortable space to take it in. We were met with the warmest welcome from the farm Manager, he was friendly and easy to talk to and really accommodating. Living in the UK for 19 years, security always comes to mind when returning to South Africa. We felt completely safe our entire stay, this is an electric gated farm with the main farm house near by which made us feel at ease yet still private. There is also security doing its rounds throughout the night for ease of confront. There truly wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like or did not enjoy about this property or our stay. With lots of traveling, I’ve stayed in many properties, this one really sits right at the top. We cant wait to return and make more memories here!
