Beachcastle

One of the best parts of out stay at this delightful seashore guesthouse was meeting and chatting with our hosts, Emme and author Cobus! They live on the property and are both excellent source of local knowledge. Our very clean shorefront unit had excellent views of the beach and mouth of the estuary and was just a short stroll from the funky and fun Anchor beachfront pubfood cafe, where you'll qualify as a local on your second visit if not your first. A shaded wrap-around veranda and constant gentle breezes makes Beachcastle a delightful venue from which to observe the sea and sky. Restaurants and shops are just minutes away. Don't forget to stop for breakfast/lunch at the Press Room Cafe at the entrance to the Inverroche craft gin distillery on the R305 into/out of Stilbaai!

Great location and very helpful owners.

Unbelievable location, I will come back purely for the amazing view, can't choose a better spot for views and location!! The inverter was a nice addition to keep the lights on in load shedding. Indoor braai was great!

The place was definitely not clean, the linen was stained, cobwebs in the kitchen, the toilet seat in the main room was broken, towels were hard and smelt mouldy, the overall finishes in the house are very dated and need updating as they are very worn, kitchen cupboards were old and sticky. For the price per night I think it should have been way cleaner and modern.

This has to be one of the best views to have for sunset or sunrise. The ability to sit at the kitchen table and look out over the sea and the river mouth is amazing. Totally loved this place!

Precisely by the beach in the bay. The water was calm enough to take a swim. There were some currents but it wasn’t dangerous because the water was shallow. The apartment had sea view from the front windows. The apartment was totally equipped with everything needed and the beds were very comfortable. Very convenient that every room had it’s own bathroom.

The apartment is right in front of the beach with wonderful view, safe, peaceful and very quiet. The hosts are fantastic, very accommodating and make you feel at home. Would definately recommend.
