NZExcellent communication with the host. Large rooms. Comfy beds. Nice views (but we arrived too late to appreciate them). Secure parking.
We had to ask for additional explanation about how to access the hot water. We were shown a heater, but it turned out to be a fan, not a heater. The kitchen didn't seem that well-equipped. We expected our family to be staying in 2 units close to each other, but they were a long way away which isn't ideal when travelling with children. Lighting in the lounge/ dining area was very dim.

I booked 3 units, including one unit with two queen beds for our family of 5. I could have booked 2 units and paid less, but deliberately didn't select their "(Un)Comfortable Apartment" due to the terrible mattresses in that unit. I paid more for a unit with two queen beds, so that each of us could sleep comfortably. The host, without consulting me, decided to give my room to someone else and put us into a room with a one (springy) queen bed and another single sofa bed. The worker was unable to do a thing, instructing us to call the host, who couldn't be reached as as the only contact number available was out of service. When he finally arrived, he sent a single bed to replace the sofa bed. The walls of the units are paper-thin, with every sound of the adjoining units reverberating in our unit. When we finally managed to fall asleep, we were then awakened by the loud snoring from the adjoining unit. Then at 4:30, the roosters from a hen house stupidly placed right next to the unit, started their morning noise for the next few hours. Definitely not a place I will ever book again.
