"Oasis of Tranquility"

An oasis of tranquility in the form of a secret rain-forest vibe in the midst of an established suburb - totally unexpected. Hosts were engaging and welcoming.

The sense of space, that comes from having the bedroom and bathroom separated from the kitchen and breakfast nook, is quite nice. The property was clean and neat on arrival, and the hosts are extremely responsive to any communication on their WhatsApp number. Overall it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

It would have been nice if the window above the bed could open, to have a draft through the room. There were a lot of mosquitoes but the fan, combined with insect repellent, sorted most of that out.

"A nice homely cottage"

I liked the location and the cottage itself was very nice. Feels like a very safe area of Cape Town. A long kitchen/lounge and adjacent bedroom with en-suite bathroom and small private terrace outside is a good space for two people. The property has a nice homely feel. Staff/ hosts were always quick to respond to any queries and friendly and welcoming.

The kitchen-lounge is somewhat dark, it would be good if the blinds on the kitchen side could open. I was also a bit surprised to be charged R200 extra for the use of the sofa bed in the lounge for my 13 year old son. It was explained this is for bedding and cleaning thereof, and on looking at the listing I saw this mentioned in the policies. Whilst the hosts did mention this charge at check-in and it’s not a huge amount, I have never come across a subsequent charge to provide bedding for a booked guest, and think it would be better to include this cost at the point of booking if needed. Otherwise we were very happy with everything.

"Een accomodatie voor mensen met weinig eisen."

De rustige omgeving beviel goed. Het is een erg ruim appartement. Prima communicatie met gastheer door middel van een whatsapp groep. Vriendelijke gastheer.

Het is een erg donker appartement, ook al zijn de gordijnen open. Er komt nauwelijks zonlicht binnen, dus ook overdags gebruik van verlichting. De sfeer binnen is niet erg uitnodigend om lang te verblijven. Vrij oude meubelen en interieur kan veel gezelliger. Ik heb er een week verbleven en tussendoor was er geen schoonmaakdienst of vervanging van handdoeken. Het was beter geweest als er dagelijks zorg was.
