Apartments Karen

Nice, big apartment, clean with all the amenities advertised. Big terrace and private parking. Beach is 10-15 minutes walk away. Owners were very friendly.

One drawback was lots of stairs from parking lot to the apartment.

The owner is very friendly. Although she doesn't speak English, we could easily communicate with her. The apartman was clean, kitchen is well equipped. Inside is pretty and comfortable. We loved the large terasse.

The shower cabine was a bit small, a larger person may have difficulties with it. We really missed mosquito net on the windows.

Place was spacious, clean, close to town, view on the sea, loads of toilette paper for the whole 2 week stay, sheetes and towels changed by the host. The host welcomed us with home made cake and red wine (shame not Croatian one). English speaking lady on phone or chat, host spoke Croatian. Best internet connection we had in private apartment in Croatia so far incl. terrace.

The bed was not stable, it moved” with every turn… but matrace was quite ok. The terrace was large enough, but the fixed sun umbrella/marquiz did not provide the shade over the chairs and tables in the morning when the sun was on its full rise, you could move the table and chairs to shade but than it was dangerous-you hit your had in the constroction or you could hit your belly against the door holder. It was not comfortable during breakfast on the terrace during sunny hot day. We knew the appartment is in the hill, but from the road there are steep steps to the hiuse and than you walk up another stairs to appartment door.

Apartments Karen are perfectly located for walking down to the centre and the local beach, though we preferred to drive to Pine wood beach which was quieter. There was a dedicated parking space. The host was very nice and even gave us a couple of beers on arrival as it was very hot. The apartment was very clean and small kitchen was well equipped with kettle microwave, toaster and hob (but no oven). Aircon worked well. It was nice and quiet and the rear balcony was pleasant for meals and drinks.

The location is good. Apartment is very clean. Manager (or lady looking after it) is really nice and kind. Large balcony with a view to a garden.

Wifi did not work at all, so it was hard to do any planning. Owner suggested to go downstairs to use their personal wifi though, but it would be weird. The apartment is pretty small, there is no chair you can sit in (you can sit either on bed or at the kitchen table).

The apartment was perfect for those 3 nights, but it would be perfect for even more. The place was extremely clean, well organized, the kitchen was well equipped, we had everything what we needed. Nice patio, were we spent our evenings. The area is full with vacation houses, but in general is very quiet. The beach is 5-10 min walk away, same for the old city center. Krk is also very nice in general!

The apartment was exactly as described, nice clean and comfortable. The position was excellent - by foot 10 minutes from the centre and 15 from the beach. The host was really nice, she opened the apartment for us with freshly cooked brownies! We were really pleased and satisfied with everything.
